Important Information

for Parents and Musicians

Privacy and Accuracy

The age of many students and the importance of ensuring privacy for all participants dictate close control of New York Youth Symphony communication lists.

Musicians and parents must be able to rely on the authority of information from the New York Youth Symphony, whether it is a communication about attendance, change of location, notice of special activities, or alerts about rehearsals or performances impacted by weather conditions.

A communication system via the internet has been put in place, therefore, to enable message recipients to rely on the accuracy of the information and the authorization of the sender.

Authorized E-Mail Correspondence
Musicians and parents may rely on communication from any of the e-mail addresses which follow. Should there be any question regarding authenticity, please contact the Executive Administration.

Security

Contact information among participants and their parents may be exchanged as they deem useful, but it is not information which the Administration will provide unless authorized by the owner. This includes telephone numbers, addresses, and e-mail contacts.

Certain individuals in Artistic and Executive Administration, of course, maintain that information, and only those personnel are authorized to contact the membership with official correspondence.

Musicians and parents should not rely on information received by anyone other than those so authorized.
