I graduated from Columbia University in May of 2014 and moved to Rochester in September of 2014 to pursue a Masters of Music in Flute Performance from the Eastman School of Music. I participated in the orchestra during its 48th, 49th, and 50th seasons – my first three years of college!
I had a great experience with NYYS. During my time at NYYS I learned how to really work as a team member as both section member and section leader. Student orchestras such as NYYS are so integral to young players because they teach them how to be musical leaders while at the same time honing their musical skills.
