The New York Youth Symphony is an independent, not-for-profit institution dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through the study and performance of music.  Your support helps provide young musicians with high-quality music experiences, all while keeping these opportunities tuition-free.

How your contribution helps

$50         Provides 5 tickets for New York public school students

$100       Allows the NYYS to waive an application fee for one student

$250       Underwrites a chamber music master class

$500       Sponsors coaching sessions with members of the NY Philharmonic & Metropolitan Opera Orchestra

$1,000    Supports the commissioning of new works by young composers

$2,500    Underwrites free community concerts

$5,000    Provides a full student scholarship for the 2017/18 season

Donations can be made by clicking one of the two boxes above, over the phone by calling (212) 581-5933, or via mail by sending your donation to 110 West 40th Street, Suite 1503, New York, NY 10018. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We accept gifts by check, stock donation, or credit card.

The future of music making nationwide begins with the opportunities and dreams realized here. The annual fund supports general operations of the New York Youth Symphony allowing us to provide scholarships of up to $5,000 per student annually.

The Endowment Fund ensures that the New York Youth Symphony is able to continue its vital mission of providing outstanding performance and learning opportunities for the next generation.

Contact your employer about a matching gift

Many employers will match your gift, thereby doubling or tripling the impact of your donation! Please check with your employer to see whether it offers a matching gift program. Often times, you will be required to submit a form to your employer with your donation amount and the date you made your gift.
