New York Youth Symphony is pleased to partner with Cory Lee of the Liberated Performer to offer a mock audition bootcamp. The workshop is an intensive audition preparation course specially designed to help NYYS students improve their technical and artistic execution as they prepare to audition for colleges, graduate school, summer festivals, competitions, and more. The workshop includes multiple mock auditions with in-person feedback from world-renowned guest clinicians including cellist Alan Stepansky, online instructional videos and assignments with the latest performance strategies, Alexander Technique with Lori Schiff, and individual sessions with performance coach Cory Lee.
Over three Sundays in January, How to Audition Like a Boss! will improve students’ confidence to succeed in high pressure situations. Since 2017, past participants have been accepted to Juilliard, Yale, Princeton, and more.
