2024-25 JON DEAK FIRST MUSIC WINNERS

ORCHESTRA 

Dayton Hare (Grand Prize Winner) and Alistair Coleman will write new orchestral works to be premiered by the NYYS Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium, led by Music Director Andrew J. Kim. 

CHAMBER MUSIC 

Jaylin Vinson will write a new work to be premiered by the NYYS Chamber Music Program, led by Dr. Lisa Tipton, at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on May 1st, 2025. 

JAZZ 

Eric Banitt (Grand Prize Winner), Ariel Glassman, and Josph Herbst will write new jazz works to be premiered by NYYS Jazz, led by Director Michael Thomas.
