Launched in the 2023/24 season, Crescendo is NYYS’s newest ensemble. It was formed in response to the need to serve more students from the five boroughs of New York City. With its 100% fee-free program, Crescendo has created another path for younger, motivated students to join the NYYS program.
Crescendo Orchestra focuses on the works of underrepresented composers, including women and people of color – opening the minds of these musicians making a more inclusive and thoughtful repertoire. There will be two concerts this season at Merkin Hall at The Kaufman Center and BRIC Arts Center.
Come support our young musicians and be in the audience when they perform.
