Cassandra Gibson is a professional violist, music educator, and arts marketer based in NYC. She began her studies on viola at the age of 9 in Washington, DC and earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance with a minor in PR and Advertising from the University of South Carolina. She started her career as Youth Orchestra Manager of the South Carolina Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, before returning to Washington, DC to work as a Marketing Manager with Washington Performing Arts. Most recently Cassandra served as the Marketing & Creative Lead with Tarisio Auctions directing their global marketing. Cassandra has performed around the world and shared the stage with artists such as Yolanda Adams and Stevie Wonder. As an arts professional she strives to make the arts equitable, sustainable, and accessible. When not teaching, performing, or working, she enjoys spending time with her cat, reading, playing games, seeing live music, and spending time outdoors.
