Sara Vicinaiz, DEI Programs Manager at Youth Orchestras of San Antonio

A native of the Rio Grande Valley, Sara Vicinaiz holds a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from the University of North Texas and a Master of Arts in Musicology from Indiana University. Sara has been with the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio (YOSA) since April 2018, and most recently became the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Programs Manager in April 2021. Sara is deeply passionate about bringing music to the San Antonio community as both an arts administrator and baroque oboist with local ensemble Sonido Barroco. She believes that access to the arts and cultural institutions are integral to all communities. In her free time, Sara loves to read, write poetry, bake, do yoga, and hang out with her husband Erik & cat Gracie.
